Created in 2011, the redesign of the VCU RAMS collegiate cycling team kits (uniforms) makes use of a classic aesthetic that will cause VCU riders to stand out in the peloton. Previously the team had been riding in what was, in essence, a Columbia HTC (a pro team) kit from 2005 with all the logos replaced with VCU branding. Unfortunately this is all too common in collegiate cycling, so when the project of redesigning the kits came up, the primary goal was to create something fully custom that would stand out amongst the sea of copies.
